February 2006
Utah Controls has been awarded a contract to provide the DDC Controls for the new 4 Gateway Office Tower that will be the future home of Fidelity Investments. Utah Controls will be providing a TAC Vista system network that will integrate with the mechanical and electrical systems. Utah Controls has worked closely with Fidelity for many years and we are excited to be chosen to provide the controls for this new facility.

February 2006
Utah Controls has been awarded a contract to provide the DDC and Security System for the new Provo Arts Center. This facility will tie into the Provo City’s existing TAC network. This project consists of a major renovation of the existing library building as well as a large addition. Maybe this will be the site of a future Users Group.

Utah Controls will be holding our “Users Group” back at our favorite location, Joe Morley’s Barbeque on February 8th from 11AM to 2PM. We have many new software features and products (new NPR, SCU, 527) that we will be presenting. We will also have the new Square D lighting control system on display. We see a few of our competitors hold the occasional get together, but who else can say they have held this type of instructional meeting for over 15 years!

Utah Controls has just released our 2006 training schedule. This year we have scheduled twenty two open enrollment courses consisting of DDC controls and Security topics. Our training center is available for private courses or lab sessions. Contact Utah Controls for details.

Utah Controls has been awarded the CCTV contract for the Jordan School District. The district issued an RFP (request for proposal) that allowed the district to evaluate the companies’ capabilities, past performance and price. We look forward to working with the Jordan School District on providing their CCTV needs for many years.

December 2005
Utah Controls has been awarded a contract with the State of Utah for the Rio Grande Depot DDC Control System upgrade. This project consists of upgrading VAV controls, AHU upgrades and modifications, heat exchanger controls, and radiant heater modifications. This facility will require that special care is taken while installing the system as not to damage or disrupt the historically significant interior.

Utah Controls held our Christmas party at the E Center this year. It was a great night that included dinner, a drawing for a motorcycle (that Jeff Keller won) and other great prizes. We also had a special visit from Governor Huntsman. After our party we went into the arena and watched the BooKoo Arenacross. Gray Davenport, one of our recent employees, was able to qualify for the main event and did very well.

November 2005
Utah Controls has been awarded a contract to replace the control system at the WestPoint Elementary School for the Davis School District. The existing control system was a prototype LON network that the original contractor is not able to support now even though it is only a few years old. Utah Controls will install TAC’s INET system that will network with over 80 schools through-out the district.

October 2005
Utah Controls has been awarded the Provo Regional Center DDC Control System upgrade. This project for the State of Utah DFCM consists of upgrading the VAV controllers and mechanical system controls. This facility will be occupied during the complete installation and special care will be taken as not to disrupt the buildings occupancies.

September 2005
Utah Controls has been awarded the Timpanogos Temple CCTV and Security system upgrade. This is another example of Utah Controls working in a facility that has special requirements. Utah Controls will be installing a Pelco CCTV system including PTZ and fixed cameras and DVR recorder.

Utah Controls has been awarded the new Davis County Jail facility DDC Control System. The specification called for a native Bacnet system that TAC’s Andover product line met without exception. Utah Controls has a lot of experience in working in correctional facilities and understands the special requirements.

August 2005
Utah Controls has been awarded the new Tooele Courts Security System. The bidding process on this project was so close that Capitol Electric (the electrical contractor) had to make their decision on whom to award the contract to based on the companies experience and capabilities. We would like to thank Capitol Electric for choosing Utah Controls. This system will include access control, CCTV camera system and a PLC locking control system.

July 2005
Utah Controls was just awarded a DDC controls retrofit and upgrade for the JR Smith Elementary in the Wasatch School District. This school will join several other schools in this district to receive a TAC LonWorks control system all capable of being viewed and controlled from the district office.

Security Distributing and Marketing Magazine just released their list of top integrators for 2005. This is the fourth time Utah Controls has made this list coming in at #51. We are pleased to be considered one of the countries top integrators.

WE GOT IT!! THE BIG ONE!! Utah Controls has been awarded the HVAC DDC Controls, Security, Access Control, and CCTV systems for the State Capitol Renovation. Utah Controls has completed many projects of this size and magnitude, but there is just something special about providing the automated control and security systems for the State Capitol. The new control and security systems will tie into the existing TAC and CCTV networks on Capitol Hill.
